Action „Tree day – plant your future” – Autumn Forestation
The autumn foresting as part of the action "Tree day- Plant your Future” took place on November.19.2008 throughout the whole territory of the Republic of Macedonia after postponing it on October.29.
It was planned for 6 million seedlings to be planted at locations throughout the country. The organizer of this action was the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, and the public enterprise Makedonski sumi has an active participation at his action as well.The expert team of the public enterprise Makedonski sumi made selection of planting material for foresting of broadleaf and coniferous types of woods produced by classic and container way in the tree nurseries of the public enterprise of Makedonski sumi. Besides the other activities, the expert team of the public enterprise Makedonski sumi made the ex pert preparation of foresting regions by activation of equipment necessary for undisturbed carrying out of action and providing expert aid and logistics during foresting. Besides the other activities, the expert team of the public enterprise Makedonski sumi defined the locations for foresting and the aim of the positive influence on local, regional and global level was achieved.
In spring foresting on March.12.2008, 2.035.000 trees were planted, that corresponds to the number of citizens of Republic of Macedonia..
6 million planting seedlings are planned to be planted during the autumn foresting and it is expected that the participation in this action will be the biggest which will break the record of going to such actions (spring foresting).The action is supported by all media and relevant participants from the country. In order to plant more than 6.000.000 trees your assistance is needed too!
